The playground was developed to reduce the barriers experienced by those with special needs, and allow children of all abilities to play together, side-by-side. There's a kiosk outside of the playground where mums and dads can get takeaway coffee and kids can get treats like banana bread and milkshakes. Some of the profit made by their coffee.

There's a lot written about Livvi's Place, the playground in Timbrell Park, Five Dock and it is definitely a staple stop for young families from all over the Inner West, and beyond. But one place we think deserves more kudos is Livvi's Cafe. It's not just a cafe that is linked to the playground; this is an institution in itself.

7150 The fantastic large, fenced and partially shaded playground at Livvis Place Five Dock is a real treat for both young kids and parents. It full of things to keep the kids happily entertained and right next door is Livvi's Place Café. Also, if you go on a Monday you can join storytime at 10am.

The official address is 19 Henley Marine Drive, Five Dock, 2046. There is street parking all along the Henley Marine Drive but if you can't find a spot there you can also try Connecticut Avenue which is closer than it looks on the map above.

It's a flat fare, but with 5 pax plus baggage it's likeky you'll need 2 cars (there are some larger cars, but you might have to wait a bit for one to become available).. If taking the train, would choose the Cadorna option. Not only is the journey time faster, but the station is much smaller and when you arrive you're straight out onto the street in 2 mins.

Livvi's Place are incredible all-inclusive playgrounds that were created after a Sydney family lost their baby to a rare disease. You'll find one of these playgrounds in Ryde, Five Dock, Jordan Springs and other locations in NSW. In 2006, John and Justine Perkins, lost their baby daughter, Olivia, at just 8 months old, to a rare disease.
